Laser engraving - sounds cool doesn't it? Laser engraving is the modern way to imprint name tags. A high powered laser focusing a beam of light etches the surface of the plastic or metal and produces the lettering for your name tag. The laser vaporizes (I love that word) the surface revealing the core material, usually a contrasting color, pretty simple huh?
The great thing about laser engraving name tags is the ability to imprint special designs or logos on just one badge. Quite a few of the imprinting processes for name tags require large orders in order to have your logo imprinted. This makes for production of small order quick, easy and affordable.
If there is drawback to laser engraving it is the fact it produces a two color name tag. You have the surface color of the tag and a letter color. Metal is available in a few select colors while plastic does afford a larger selection. If you want a name tag with a multicolor logo you will have to pick a metal or full color name tag for your use.
