Modern nametags have evolved from the simple engraved two color name tag. Engraved name tags have been the staple for years; however this type of badge is limited to a surface color and a letter color for the design. This does not give you a lot of design flexibility in creating your name tags.
Digital printing is where we use an inkjet process combined with heat and pressure to create your name tags. This process allows us to imprint multicolor name tag and badges, one at a time or in volume. This is very helpful when you need just one or two badges after your initial order. The digital imprinting also allows us to use greater creativity when designing your name tag due to the great availability of typestyles and artwork.
The only draw back with digital printing is the ability to produce exact PMS matches of imprinted colors; however most colorts can be approximated to satisfy most customers. One of the main ingredients to making sure that your badges are printed correctly is the art file. Your art must be in a VECTOR EPS format or other VECTOR FORMAT for most art departments to adjust the colors so they print correctly.
